The challenge

Creeds General Store is a gourmet grocery shop located in Toronto. Though Creeds Coffee Shop and Creeds Dry Cleaning businesses are renowned in the city, Creeds General Store was a relative newcomer on the high-end grocery scene. As a result, it wasn’t generating the kind of engagement rates - and sales - that it wanted to through its email marketing campaigns.


The solution


Effective email marketing is the lifeblood of eCommerce businesses - and being able to measure performance is essential. We gave the newsletters a strong brand voice using language that was fun, conversational and food-focused. Greenlight Content updated the newsletters template and imagery and switched from a third-party email tool to Shopify’s new email marketing service, which ties total sales to each newsletter.


The results

With a revamped email marketing strategy, conversion rates for each newsletter reached 1.57% by the end of 2022, well above the industry average for Food & Beverage companies of 0.90%.
